Steve Harris (basketball)

Steve Harris (born October 15, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Houston Rockets in the 1st round (19th overall) of the 1985 NBA Draft. A 6'5" shooting guard from the University of Tulsa, Harris played in 5 NBA seasons from 1985 to 1990. He played for the Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.
In his NBA career, Harris played in 207 games and scored a total of 1,440 points. His best year as a professional came during the 1987-88 season when he split time with the Rockets and Warriors, appearing in 58 games and averaging 9.2 ppg.
