Steven Lohoré Gohouri (born 8 February 1981), known as Steve Gohouri, is a France born Côte d'Ivoire footballer who currently plays as defender for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

He left BSC Young Boys for Borussia on a three and a half year contract on December 28, 2006 with a transfer fee of €1.5 million ^[1]. He had been linked with other clubs prior to the transfer, including Rangers, Wigan and Newcastle ^[2].

On January 27, 2007 He made his German Bundesliga debut against Energie Cottbus ^[3]

In March 2007 he was called up for the Ivorian's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo, and for the friendly against Mauritius a few days before. In the game against Mauritius, the defender bagged himself a brace, before opening the scoring in the 3-0 victory against Madagascar.
