Steve Ella

Steve Ella (born 1960) is a former Australian rugby league player.

Steve Ella was born in Mt Pritchard, New South Wales (NSW), Australia. Steve Ella is a cousin of the Rugby Union Ella brothers.

Steve Ella played for three teams, Parramatta, Wigan (in England) and NSW. He played fullback, centre, wing, halfback and five eighth for Parramatta.

In a career of ten years, Steve Ella scored 544 points and he achieved a club record of a total of 23 tries for Parramatta.

Ella was part of one of the most talented backlines ever assembled in Rugby League, playing alongisde Brett Kenny, Mick Cronin, Peter Sterling and Eric Grothe. He was nicknamed "The Zipzip Man".

Steve Ella played 156 games for Parramatta, 23 games for Wigan and 8 matches for NSW.
