Steve Covino

Steve Covino ("El Covino") raised in Union Township, Union County, New Jersey is a Latino Radio Talk Show Host/Disc Jockey on Sirius Satellite Radio.
Steve Covino started his career in broadcasting as the producer & and co-host of "Solid State" on 92.3 K-ROCK WXRK in NYC (Later called "Altered State" with DJ Liquid Todd on 103.5 WKTU The Beat of NY) Covino then co-hosted "K-ROCK's Hard On" with Crazy Cabbie. Finally, Covino got his own weekend show at K-ROCK which led him to the stratospheres of satellite radio.
El Covino is the nighttime host of SIRIUS Octane 20 (Pure Hard Rock), but is now best known as the host of "The Covino & Rich Show" heard in the afternoon drive slot from 3pm - 7pm EST (replayed from 6am - 10am EST) worldwide on SIRIUS Satellite's MAXIM Radio (Maxim Magazine's Channel 108). Covino also hosts a weekend countdown called "The Blender Download 15" (Blender Magazines Top 15 Downloads of the week) played repeatedly throughout the weekend on MAXIM Radio.
In addition to being a DJ, Covino was in the Marketing/Programming departments at WXRK and worked his way up to the head of the Promotions department. Covino held that position for many years until he was offered a fulltime DJ position by Maxim Radio.
