[edit] Early and Personal Life

Burguiere was born in Tarrytown, New York, but grew up in the state of Connecticut. After high school, he was an intern at the New Haven radio station KC101. He started in the promotions department, working his way up to producer of the Glenn Beck Morning Show. He did voice-over work as well. Burguiere recorded commercials for the company Metabolife. KC101 is also where he met his current wife, Lisa Paige, who is currently co-host of the morning show on Q-102 in Philadelphia. Lisa can also be heard periodically on Q102's sister station Z100 in NYC. She recently made her first national television debut on NBC. She was the announcer for the 2005 Radio Music Awards.

He is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL football team. Stu is a vegetarian and takes guitar lessons.

It has also been noted that Stu has idolized Jason Grabowski his whole life and still to this day wishes he was him.

[edit] Radio Life

Glenn Beck left KC101 to try talk radio at WFLA in Tampa. Burguiere produced and hosted an hour long retrospective of Glenn's career in radio for his last show in New Haven. It featured clips of Glenn on the Radio from the time he was a teenager through his 9 years at KC101. The following Monday, Burguiere took his job as co-host of the morning show with Vinnie Penn. After a year, he moved to Tampa to produce the Glenn Beck Program, and host The Stu Show on Saturdays on WFLA. He is responsible for making Glenn's show funny, posing as celebrity callers, and generally moderating Glenn's various tangents by arguing with him about issues. Stu and fellow staff member Dan Andros occasionally host after-show-shows on Beck's Insider audio stream. Stu has filled in as host for Glenn twice since the show went nationally syndicated. In December 2003 he hosted a show in which he re-played the best comedy bits from that year. On December 1 2006, Stu filled in for the last 20 minutes of the show because Glenn had to leave early to catch a plane to start his Christmas Tour.

[edit] Political Views and Activism

On November 2, Election Day 2004, he flew to Columbus, Ohio to participate in Project Longface. This was a project started to campaign against John Kerry in a humorous way -- spoofing the disenfranchisement Ohio Democratic voters. A giant Waffle-Head John Kerry Float drove all over Columbus and through a P.A. system reminded people that Democrats were supposed to vote on Wednesday while Republicans still vote on Tuesday. John Kerry would later indirectly blame this for his loss.

Burguiere is a strong supporter of the death penalty, especially for child molesters. He half-seriously, half-jokingly supports a policy of throwing child molesters alive into an incinerator. He has disagreed with Glenn Beck on the death penalty for many years, often discussing it live on the radio. An idea of one radio listener was to build a child-molester detention center on the moon, and then threaten to turn off the air supply.

Recently he produced a charity single for the victims of the tsunami in Indonesia. His group, Stu and The Blackhearts recorded a remake of "We Are The World".The group featured staff members from the Glenn Beck Program and the single raised over $15,000. Beck did not participate in the recording and expressed great displeasure at playing it on the air.

[edit] Miscellaneous

In February 2005, Glenn was able to get him tickets to the Super Bowl. Since Stu had never attended an Eagles game in which they lost, he believed that his being there would secure a victory. After the Eagles' defeat, Beck blamed Burguiere and for punishment, he was forced to go to different locations and perform stunts similar to a shock jock in Philadelphia such as wearing a New England Patriots shirt and shouting anti-Philadelphian statements. The events were archived on Beck's website in a section called Stu's Friday Adventure. [1]

In June 2005, Stu was forced to cancel an appearance at an event due to illness in which he had to miss out on his dream opportunity of introducing Eagles head coach Andy Reid.

On January 29, 2006, he co-hosted "The Fisher Files" on WFLA with Jeff Fisher.

Burguiere has a column in the Glenn Beck Program's Fusion Magazine.

Burgeiere released his first book, Cliches, The Worst Thing Since Sliced Bread, on November 29, 2006.
