Steve Bower

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Steve Bower was born in 1973 and started his mainstream career in Regional radio in the 1990s at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester, where he was Head of Football.

In September 1998, at the launch of MUTV, Steve became the commentator for the channel. Although at this time it was largely recorded Reserve matches he lent his voice to.

In the Autumn of 2000, he and long time co-commentator from his days at Piccadilly, 1968 European Cup winner, Paddy Crerand were given their own show by MUTV entitled Crerand and Bower...in Extra Time. The show has become a jewel in the crown for the channel and is, by far, MUTV's most viewed talk show.

Added to this, Steve has undertaken freelance work with TalkSport in the past, where he worked on two European Football Championship. If he wants to, Steve could easily commentate for any of the high profile channels like Sky Sports, BBC or ITV, but he seems to be content to stay at MUTV.
