Steve Beard

Steve Beard (b. 1961) is an English science fiction/fantasy author. Steve moved to Australia at the age of 12 and resided in the city of Brisbane. He returned to England at the age of 19.
After attending Oxford University, he worked as a style journalist for i-D magazine. In 1999, he published the novel Digital Leatherette, which was called by William Gibson “fresh evidence that the street finds its own uses for literature.” He is currently contributing working with Jeff Noon on a baroque fantasy novel, accessible at mappalujo.com. His latest book is Meat Puppet Cabaret, published by Raw Dog Screaming Press.
