Stepping Stone was the first major single by Liverpool-based pop group The Farm. It was based upon The Monkees' 1966 song (I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone, and released in April 1990, having been produced by Graham (Suggs) McPherson of Madness and Terry Farley. The Monkees version had previously been covered by The Sex Pistols, Minor Threat, Cardboard Brains, Vicious White Kids, Kevin Kinney of Drivin' N' Cryin' and many other bands.
