Stephen W. Burns

Stephen W. Burns (November 15, 1954—February 22, 1990) was an American actor. Born in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, Burns is best known for playing Pete Stancheck in Herbie Goes Bananas (1980) and Jack Cleary in the The Thorn Birds (1983) mini-series.
In his short-lived career, Burns also appeared in several television shows. Credits include Eight Is Enough (1977), Heart of the City (1986), and Simon & Simon (1981).
Burns died of AIDS on February 22, 1990, in Santa Barbara, California. He was just 35 years of age. [1]
