Stephen Sayadian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stephen Sayadian, also known as Rinse Dream is an adult video director active in the 1980s and early 1990s. He is best known for his stylish, surrealistic, and off-kilter approach to pornographic videos, such as Café Flesh, Nightdreams, and Party-Doll-A-Go-Go. His work is now considered highly innovative and ahead of its time, in many ways anticipating the later wave of altporn that emerged in the early 2000s. Café Flesh, in particular, stands out for its comparatively strong production values and detailed plot, elements typically missing from adult films of the time.

Although the bulk of his work was writing/directing pornographic videos, the somewhat hard to find film "Dr. Caligari" (a remake/adaptation/sequel to the german film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari) contained no "hardcore" scenes and was rated R.
