Stephen Jardine is a newsreader and journalist on the news programme Scotland Today, shown on STV Central.

Stephen usually presents Scotland Today's East news opt-out, and anchors the main bulletin on Friday's, job-sharing with John Mackay.

Stephen started his journalistic career as a reporter at Radio Tay before joining STV.

When GMTV was set up in 1993, Stephen left to become the breakfast station's Scotland Correspondent. He then moved to Paris as Europe Correspondent, and also presented on the GMTV sofa covering stories ranging from the death of the Princess of Wales to the Cannes Film Festival.

Jardine returned to STV by hosting the station's Millennium Hogmanay Show live from the centre of Edinburgh, then he moved onto presenting the afternoon talk show Room at the Top and his own evening chat show Tonight at the Top.

Stephen has also presented a number of current affairs programmes on STV, such as Seven Days, Wheel Nuts, and Sunday Live. Stephen now presents Drivetime on STV.

Stephen also presents his own show on Talk 107, the Edinburgh-based radio station from 10am-1pm on Saturdays.
