Stephen J. Lawrence is a composer living and working in New York City (website = "http://stephenlawrencemusic.com"). He has composed over 100 songs and scores for Sesame Street resulting in three Emmy awards for “Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition”. He also composed Free to Be... You and Me and many other songs from the landmark children’s album and Emmy Award-winning television special of the same name. His varied catalog includes composing the top ten single, You Take My Breath Away, the score for the film Bang The Drum Slowly, and three songs for A...My Name Is Alice. He has been awarded three Gold Records.
