Stephen F. Austin State Park

Located in Austin County west of Houston on the Brazos River. The park officers camping, picnic area, and a public golf course.

It can be a productive birding location, but not often visted. Habitat is typcal east Texas riparian, upland areas are mostly pecan trees while river bottom areas are dominated by cottonwoods and hackberry.
