Stephen Aloysius Leven

Stephen Aloysius Leven (1905–1983) was the third bishop of the Diocese of San Angelo. He was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on April 30, 1905 and ordained a priest on June 10, 1928. On December 3, 1955, Leven was appointed auxiliary bishop of San Antonio and titular bishop of Bure. He was appointed Bishop of San Angelo on October 20, 1969 and resigned on April 24, 1979. He died on June 28, 1983.
