Steninge Castle
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Steninge castle (also known as Steninge Manor and Steninge Palace) was built during 1694-1698 in the countryside outside of Stockholm (capital of Sweden). The architect was Nicodemus Tessin the Younger [1]. He has also been involved in many of the Swedish great castles such as Stockholm castle is the official residence of the Swedish Royal family.
Today the castle is privately owned by a company. It is open for tourists in a form of a cultural centre, Steninge Palace Cultural Centre [2]. The official website of the cultural centre has historical information as well as pictures of both the exterior and interior of the castle.
