Steltek

The Steltek are a fictional alien race in the game Wing Commander: Privateer about which very little is known. They drive the main plot of the Privateer game.

The Steltek are an ancient race that once populated most, if not all of the galaxy. For unclear reasons, the entire civilization disappeared some time before Humans and Kilrathi began exploring space. This was likely some kind of mass exodus after some technological disaster or civil war of some kind. The only living Steltek encountered states that the Steltek race retreated from the galaxy, taking with them all traces of their technology, to prevent new races from bringing upon themselves the ruin that that was brought to the Steltek. Despite their best efforts, a substantial amount of their technology was left behind or lost in the Gemini Sector (it is possible that their technology was discovered elsewhere, but no mention of the Steltek is made in any other Wing Commander (computer game)).

Drone: Automated sentry left behind to find and destroy any remnants of Steltek technology.

Cannon: Steltek weapon removed from a derelict space fighter, comparable in power to high-end modern weaponry.

Space Station: Large station comprised of multiple bulbous segments, the functions and capacities of which are unknown.

Fighter: Piloted fighter of Steltek origin, equipped with at least two Steltek cannons. All other abilities are unknown.
