Stelly's Secondary School is a public high school in Saanichton, British Columbia, Canada, and part of School District 63 Saanich. Teaching students in grades 9-12, it has a student population of approximately 1300 pupils. The Principal is Mr. Bruce Frith and the Vice Principals are Ms. Sally Hansen and Mr. Kal Russell.
In the school year of 2004-2005, Stelly's Secondary School launched its Road Safety Program aimed at eliminating at-fault crashes, injuries and fatalities involving Stelly's students. With help from local sponsors and the Stelly's Parent Advisory Council, the first two years of the program have exceeded all expectations.
Stelly's is known around the area for its community outreach efforts, as outlined in the Maclean's magazine article titled Canada's Best High Schools.[1] It is also well-known for its on-site 4500 square foot climbing gym, known as the Boulders Climbing Gym. Operated mainly by long-time Stelly's teacher Peter Mason and a not-for-profit society, it serves as a facility open to the public, Stelly's students, and also offers a variety of climbing lessons.
