[edit] Schooling and Career

[edit] Schooling

Moore attended Hodge Hill Secondary School in the Bromford area of Birmingham. Located on Bromford Road, Hodge Hill was one of the most unsuccessful schools in Birmingham, and was often under inspection for its poor exam results. In 2006, Hodge Hill was named the most improved school in Birmingham. Moore attened Hodge Hill with his brother Luke.

Stefan and Luke also attend the same school as Birchfield athlete Jonathan Moore (please note that they are unrelated).

[edit] Career - Aston Villa

Moore began his career at Aston Villa, and was captain of the club's 2002 FA Youth Cup winning side. His brother Luke was on that team as well. At that point in his career, Moore was rated by many as a better prospect than Wayne Rooney. Moore scored 2 goals for Aston Villa, and was used more frequently as a substitute than as a choice in the starting eleven.

[edit] Chesterfield F.C

His first league appearance came on October 27, 2001, but as a Chesterfield F.C. player, as he had been loaned out to Chesterfield for seven weeks. This match, against Blackpool F.C. finished 1-0 in Blackpool's favour.

He scored his first goal for the Villa first team on his debut against Charlton.

[edit] Injuries and Consequences

A knee injury sustained in January 2004 halted his progress somewhat, and from then on only sporadically appeared for Aston Villa. Between August 3 and October 3 he was signed on loan to Millwall F.C., before finishing the season on loan at Leicester City F.C.

Moore signed for QPR on 14th June 2005 on a free transfer. Strangely, due to a mix-up between the two clubs, Moore was paraded in a QPR shirt on the day before the transfer was actually completed. He commenced a one-month loan spell with Port Vale on 29th August 2006.
