Steele Canyon High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in the San Diego East County community of Spring Valley, California. Opened in 2000, it serves students in grades nine through twelve and is part of the Grossmont Union High School District.

Steele Canyon's athletic teams, the Cougars, compete in the Grossmont Conference and the San Diego Section of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).


The school fields teams in 15 sports: baseball (boys), basketball, cheerleading (coed), cross country, football (boys), golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball (girls), swim and dive, tennis, track, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling (boys).

Since the Fall of 2002 (the first year of varsity-level competition), SCHS has won twelve league titles and one CIF championship:
