With regard to your edit to Windmill. I noticed you added an image of the Weybourne windmill; nice picture. Nevertheless I moved your image to the overview of images at the bottom of the page, as the introduction (especiaaly) should not have too many figures in it. I hope you can agree with that. Stavros, Hope you don't mind me saying this, as you have put in some good work on both these pages, but most of the information is duplicated. Wouldn't one article, say "Empress of Australia" be better, with "SS Tirpitz" redirecting there? with two parallel articles, you run the risk of each one being edited separately by differnt editors with different updates, with neither page showing the whole story. I'd like to propose a merge, unless you know of a specific reason for keeping them separate. --Bilbo B 07:56, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes you are correct and I have removed the information. the source I used was obviousely wrong or badly explained, (FAMOUSE LINERS AND THERE STORYS BY ALAN L CARY).the author describes in the book that the Liner RMS Mooltan took the Australian test team home and I think what he was getting at was that it was infact the English team that toured Australia that caught the Liner back to the UK. Regarding your edits to the above-linked article, per Wikipedia article form, only the first word in a headings (and proper nouns) should be capitalized. I'd fix it myself, but I'm unsure of what needs to be capitalized specifically (the proper nouns). I think Fate is referring to the point that you've titled each section of your articles using ALL CAPS, which is not to Wikipedia standards. As well, ship names are normally italicized. I've gone through and cleaned up RMS Etruria, but noted that the others you've done (though a great volume of work!) need to receive similar treatment. --gbambino 22:01, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Is this how I go about replying? I didn't realise "Viceroy of India" was W.I.P. or I would have left it alone. I started amending a couple of typos and then altering a word here and there, and the next thing you know . . .

I lost the bit about the "Warfield". It should have been in "Incidents", but disappeared somewhere. I wasn't very keen on the reference to Ayah's, I just thought something a bit more general.

Anyway, it's your site and I'll leave it alone in future.

I see that liners are your specialist area. I've had a quick look at some of your other entries, very good. Where did you get the pictures? I'm nervous about loading up pictures because of copyright issues. Also, I'm not sure I know how to do it. I am not that interested in liners. Can't rember now how I arrived at your site. I see that you've tagged all the images you uploaded as being your own creation; for example:

While I'm not personally concerned with monitoring images at Wikipedia, I can warn you that these images will eventually be deleted by administrators because a) you clearly didn't create the images, and b) no source information is provided. You may want to add where these images came from, and look at the list of copyright tags at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags to see if any are appropriate for use with the pictures you uploaded. --gbambino 23:55, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello Gbambino, Thank you for the information about the Images,I am very New to Contributing and find the Copyrighting of Images difficult to understand and could do with some advice. Most of the images you have listed above are of Postcards or Images that I have collected Over the years. they have no copyright printed on them so I am not sure how I should Tag them with. Yeah, images and copyrighting was something that took me a while to understand; I still don't fully, but I know some.
If you scanned them yourself and uploaded them directly from your computer then I'm not sure exactly what to put, but might suggest that you simply note that; something along the lines of "Scanned image from personal collection." If they came from an internet site, then note the url of the page where you got it.
As for copyright tags, I believe some of the ones on the list I provided above pertain to images over 50 years old, which become free material after that time. Promotional pieces can also be considered free. You can at least qualify them as fair use, which are allowed when no other free image can be provided. In the case of these ships, I think that would apply. --gbambino 01:18, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Again, please do read Help:Show preview, the point of which is that it's not necessary to save every two minutes.

I am bothering you again with this because at present you are making a separate save for every tiny little edit; the link I have given you explains why on Wikipedia this is not thought to be a Good Thing, and how you can avoid doing it. It is something that many new editors do, and which it is customary to point out to them, so please do not feel that I am picking on you.

BTW, I wish you luck with your copyright problem, on which gbambino seems to have given you good advice. HeartofaDog 03:05, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

I know what you mean and often do the same. What they're trying to avoid is where people save after every individual change just to see what it looks like, which is where Preview is useful.
