[edit] Personal attacks

Aside from being factually untrue as anyone can tell from a simple comparison of timestamps, this edit was a personal attack. See WP:NPA. Christopher Parham (talk) 05:47, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Using such terminology is always unacceptable. Please don't do it regardless of the facts. Christopher Parham (talk) 18:18, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shock and awe

I agree, and am reverting it again, with the "by another name" change he suggested. Publicola 06:41, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

You beat me to the 3rr report. Would you have even noticed it if he didn't say "3rr warning" in his edit summary? Publicola 07:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure I'll be able to stay awake much longer. I'll check to see what happened in the morning. If I request protection, I'll drop you a note. Publicola 07:25, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Okay, done and done. I was so pissed at those personal attacks that I stayed up until I saw the block, but ED MD was editing about an hour ago, so no promises on what gets protected. Publicola 10:52, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shock and awe

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Shock and awe, and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. KWH 09:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Casualties of the conflict in Iraq since 2003

Can you be a little more careful with your edits? At Casualties of the conflict in Iraq since 2003, you wiped out my work on formatting some of the citations. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 02:50, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Suspected sock puppet of User:Striver

Your very first edit on the Shock and Awe article occurred only 3 days after User:Striver entered the edit war on the article. This was your first edit, yet your familiarity of Wikipedia was equal to an advanced editor.

Comments from another editor:

  • "Indiscriminate" would be something like carpet bombing. I think Starcare is Striver, a guy who only does references to Islam (scrubs references to terrorism on those pages, and then comes out to claim that the US is the terrorist nation[23]) and tries to promote anti-semitism. Starcare has only edited on Shock and Awe probably so as not to get his Striver user name in trouble. ED MD 09:52, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Note the inactivity of both User talk:Starcare and User talk:Publicola both talk pages stop with the notification of the Shock and Awe mediation notice.--Scribner 20:29, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I think we should ask Striver to WP:RFCU to clear us of these accusations since he is apparently being accused of being the puppet master, but Scribner didn't vandalize his userpage or even mention his suspicions on Striver's talk page, so I guess he's not very convinced of his theories. Publicola 08:38, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Mention was made on Striver's talk page, sock puppet Publicola. You got caught.--Scribner 14:35, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
