Robert Federer is a chemical engineer who works for Ciba Specialty Chemicals. In 2003, he co-authored a study titled "Efficient Use of Flourescent Whitening Agents", which was a revolutionary study that found a new industrial method for whitening paper [[1]]. He is the father of world number one tennis player Roger Federer.
