A staring contest with an animal??? That's just goofy, people.

[edit] Animals and staring contests
Most of this section seems to be nonsense. A "staring contest" with an animal is always done as a joke, as animals do not comprehend the purpose of such a "contest". Yes, dogs and cats sometimes stare at people — there is nothing competetive about it. There is some decent material about the differences between how humans and animals perceive stares, and this is the only thing preventing me from blanking the whole section. ~ Booya Bazooka 21:14, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
