The special effects in Pirkinning are really quite remarkable -- I think really on the whole as good as anything I've ever seen in a big-budget sci-fi film.

All the more amazing when you consider that this is an almost-no-budget sci-fi film, with for example the CGI effects computer "render farm" being located in the producer's kitchen. [1] -- Writtenonsand 23:19, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Downloads during first week

I've just reverted, for the second time, an unregistered user changing the first week's download count from 600,000 to 700,000. I've no idea which figure is closer to the actual truth, but the only verifiable source I know of, [2], gives a figure just under 600,000.
