Statute law database

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A statute law database (SLD) is for a given jurisdiction a database or directory of legislation in force for that jurisdiction.

A SLD can be made available in a number of formats, depending on a number of factors including amongst others intended audience, and the distribution media chosen.

In the US and the UK 'official' SLD are produced by many levels and branches of Government and made available at minimal cost. An SLD need not be produced by a Government, a number of commercial providers also making available such databases or directories.
