State Road, North Carolina

State Road is an unincorporated community located in Surry County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the postal district (28676) had a total population of 3,047.[1] Its unique name is derived from its location on U.S. Route 21.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 26.26 sq. miles, all of which is land and none of which is water.
