State Bank of Mysore was established in the year 1913 as Bank of Mysore Ltd. under the patronage of the erstwhile Govt. of Mysore, at the instance of the banking committee headed by the great Engineer-Statesman, Late Dr. Sir M.Visveswaraya. Subsequently, in March 1960, the Bank became an Associate of State Bank of India.State Bank of India holds 92.33% of shares. The Bank's shares are listed in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai stock exchanges.


Currently Mr. P.Pattanayak is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank.

The other management members include: Mr. Mohanan(Chief General Manager), Mr. C.R.Chandramouli(General Manager, F&S), Mr. Salil Mishra(General Manager, Operations), Mr. C.S Bhatia(General Manager, C&I), Mr. A Naidu(General Manager, Vigillance) and Mr. A Bhattacharya(General Manager, Technology).

As an associate bank Mysore has a decidated team of employees with an equally dedicated management
