[edit] Plot summary

The episode begins with a scene in Ferris City after the Coralian counterattack in "Animal Attack". Dominic and the Ageha children, dressed in hazmat suits, survey the destruction, and the children order him and other Izumo crew members to collect samples of dead Coralian antibodies. Dominic narrates that the UF military's response to the attack did not deal any significant damage to the Coralians, who withdrew after 1,246 seconds.

Gidget receives a distress call from an airship that fled Ferris City. Talho quickly lands the Gekko to assist the survivors.

In Axel's garage in Bellforest, work on the new Nirvash lift board is nearly complete. The three girls from "Blue Monday" and "Keep on Movin'" drop by, telling Axel that they saw some suspicious men near the garage. As he begins filling out some paperwork, Axel tells the girls to go home, to stay away from the garage, and to keep quiet about what they've seen.

As the Gekko crew and Tresor technicians deliver supplies, the Ferris City captain tells Holland about "arrows of light" that fell from the sky before the attack. Eureka tries to help also, but her eyes trigger panic in a mute young boy. She is sent back to the Gekko by Talho.

Aboard the Izumo, the Ageha children brief the bridge crew on the next experiment. The affected city will be Gremicore, they say, and the Izumo will maintain a safe distance while the TypeTheEND investigates.

Back aboard the Gekko, Holland picks up a transmission from Axel Thurston, who informs the crew that his activities have been discovered by the UF military police. He tells them to intercept the lift board at Gremicore, where the board should arrive on the Ley Line.

Although armored vehicles and well-armed men surround the garage, Axel uses his engineering experience to break the blockade and lift the massive board into the air. After realizing that the cable release he built failed, he tells his excavator to drive the truck towing the board off a cliff so that it would build sufficient speed to reach the Ley Line. After a monologue by Axel that traces his memories of raising Renton, the next scene shows the truck driving off the cliff.

Near Gremicore, three missiles pierce the ground, and Eureka and Anemone both sense the coming Coralian counterattack. The Ageha children forcibly inject drugs into Anemone while Dominic is restrained, and she is placed aboard the TypeTheEND. The Gekko and Izumo pick one another up on their respective radars at the same time, and Anemone, ignoring her orders, launches and heads straight for the Gekko.

Renton, hearing that the TypeTheEND has launched, requests permission to launch, although the TypeZERO does not have its board yet. The TypeZERO launches on a ballistic trajectory, and Anemone readies her main weapon. Seeing the approaching lift board, she fires on that instead, but only destroys the reflection film "sail" that Axel used to lift it. The TypeZERO safely catches the board, and Anemone tries to shoot it down using the TypeTheEND's lasers. The shots seemingly destroy the TypeZERO, but its new aircraft form emerges unharmed. Renton and Eureka together activate the Amita Drive, and a burst of energy similar to the Seven Swell is seen. Compressing the energy in its hands, the TypeZERO rams the TypeTheEND, dealing severe damage. Anemone has no choice but to withdraw.

After the Coralians withdraw, Holland orders the Gekko and the Nirvash to search for survivors in Gremicore. Aboard the Izumo, Anemone panics when she hears that the Ageha children will report on her disobedience.

In the Gekko hangar, Dr. Morita hands Renton an invoice from Axel, along with a letter. As the letter's text is voiced over, the next sequence of scenes show that Axel and his friend had jumped off the truck before it fell off the cliff, and are now in hiding.

In his office, Dewey comments on the time of existence of the Coralian antibodies: 1,246 seconds, which is the same span of time that a Seven Swell phenomenon lasts. He orders the general deployment of the "Project Orange" weapons to find the nerve center of the Coralians. As the episode closes, a world map is displayed, and several points—presumably, target cities— are illuminated.
