Starogard County

Starogard County (Polish: powiat starogardzki) is a county in Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. Capital is in Starogard Gdański. County is inhabited by the Kociewiacy ethnic group. The population is 121,650 (2005), including 50,000 in Starogard Gdański.

The county consists of 14 communes:

  • 3 municipal communes, towns: Czarna Woda, Skórcz and Starogard Gdański,
  • 1 rural-municipal commune: Skarszewy (includes the town of Skarszewy),
  • 10 rural communes: Bobowo, Kaliska, Lubichowo, Osieczna, Osiek, Skórcz, Smętowo Graniczne, Starogard Gdański, Zblewo.
