Starky is a band from Sydney, Australia, formed in 1998. Starky, while retaining all the elements of a great rock band have a guitar driving aspect which defines most songs and gives them much of there character. Johnny Wilson and Beau Cassidy (Guitarists) fills up the sound scape with a drawling guitar drive much in the style of new American bands discovering 60's prog-rock (The Byrds,Rubbersoul-Revolver era Beatles) for the first time. While conflict is inevitable between a tonally dynamic singer and two ear attention demanding guitar pieces the balance is worked out by smart producing and mixing. Another interesting dynamic is the sheer scope of free groove and marching beats performed by Nick Neal and a varity of drummers. Starky exude all the pop sensibilities and creative genius of some of the all-time greats, but sadly remain largely off the radar for all but a few switched-on music enthusiasts. The band consists of Beau Cassidy (Guitar, Lead Vocals, Keyboards), Nick Neal (Bass), and Jonny Wilson (Guitar).

Their first single, "Rock 'n' Roll is the Devils Music", released in 1999, earned the title "Best New Talent" from Channel V, and won a $50,000 video clip.

In October 2003, Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre was the 'Feature Album' on Australian youth radio station Triple J.

Their single "Hey Bang Bang" is receiving a decent amount of airplay on Triple J, and was nominated for Breakthrough Artist - Single in the 2006 ARIAs.
