Stardust (Femforce)

Stardust is a fictional character who appears in the Femforce comic published by AC Comics. Her real name is Dr. Mara, a top scientist and political dissident from the female-dominated planet Rur. Tired of the warlike policies of the Ruran queen, Mara joined the Femforce team to fight for peace on planet Earth. She possesses super-human strength, can project light energy blasts, and has the ability to fly. Her name derives from the trail of stars she leaves in her wake as she flies.

Stardust home world of Rur is populated entirely by females. As a result, she is still learning about the male-female interactions on Earth, her adopted home. This led to a brief but bitter rivalry with Ms. Victory (Jennifer Burke), when Stardust inadvertently started having an affair with her estranged husband, David Burke.

The name Stardust may have been inspired by the Fox Features Syndicate character known as Stardust the Super Wizard. Aside from extra-terrestrial originals, the two characters have nothing in common. Several of his original adventures were reprinted on the pages of AC Comics Men of Mystery anthology.
