Stardoll (originally called Paperdoll Heaven, now called "Stardoll, your paperdoll heaven") is a website created for people of all ages to 'dress-up' celebrities and dolls.

A user can dress up celebrities with clothes and accessories. Most clothes are modelled on actual clothes that the celebrity themself has been seen wearing. Some catergories of Stardoll include actors, actresses, singers, royals and models.
To use Stardoll you don't have to be registered and you can still dress up celebrities. A registered user can create 'MyPages', 'MeDolls', sceneries, albums, create diaries, comment on other members pages and more. A registered Stardoll user will receive 25 "stardollars" when they sign up.
Stardollars are used to buy items and clothes for the user's MeDoll and suite. When a user purchases virtual "stardollars" through either PayPal, SMS, credit card or text purchase they will V.I.P access to the site for thirty days. A user is then referred to as a "superstar" member.
Superstar have extra benefits then normal registered users. They're album space is increased to thirty dolls (originally ten), featured in Stardoll's main page 'catwalk', access to exculsive dolls and clothes, a free gift from the mini-shop and other things.
The site has gained popularity with people throughout Europe, Asia and the US. Stardoll contains over 380 celebrity dolls and thousands of items of clothing, and the membership base is in excess of 6,200,000+.
Every week, the highest rated MeDoll will feature as 'CoverDoll' of 'The Show' (the official Stardoll 'virtual' magazine. The highest rated album of the week will also be featured in the issue.
Recently 'starpoints' were introduced to the Stardoll website. After a registered user meets the requirements, 'starpoints' can be activated. Stardoll explains every time you log in and play with Stardoll you will receive 'starpoints'. After you receive enough 'starpoints' you will be rewarded with free gifts, exclusive buys and more.The first starpoint reward for when you have 100 starpoints is 10 stardollars and exclusive buys in the gift shop
