Star Trek The Next Generation DVD

Star Trek: The Next Generation was the first incarnation of Star Trek to be released in DVD box sets. These box sets were initially released in North America and then in Europe following an approximate two month delay. These box sets had a suggested retail price of $139.99 in North America and £84.99 in the UK. Paramount Home Entertainment UK have announced that they will be re-releasing all seven Seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation in smaller box sets and at a reduced recommended price of £34.99.

Cover Art for Star Trek The Next Generation Asia edition DVD (Seasons 1-7) (Asia edition)

Asia edition DVD containing the entire TNG series from Seasons 1 to 7 sold as a complete set (48 discs) which is only available in China and some parts of Asia, released in late 2005. Exact same content to the American release except other than usual optional English subtitles, the Asia edition comes with optional Chinese and Japanese subtitles as well.

In 2004 Paramount Home Entertainment announced a release of Jean Luc Picard box set. In Early 2006 Paramount Home Entertainment (US) announced they would be releasing four small box sets containing ten episodes. These box sets would have fans favorite episode on a particular sub-genre, for example The Borg or The Klingons. The fans were able to vote for the episode on www.startrek.com. In March 2006 Paramount Home Entertainment (UK) announced that these four box sets would be released in the UK in late 2006.
