Star Machine

Star Machine is a rock'n blues song written and composed by michael hodge, guitarist and vocalist for the band Pompus Green.

The song was written during the summer of 2005 during one of Hodge's depression indused sleep depravation binges. The term "Star Machine" comes from Hodge's idea for a way of describing the mind. The mind making you dream is a "Star Machine". After the songs basic chord change was determined and the feel of the song was right, it was time to write the lyrics. After a stunning three pages long full of lyrics, it came up as thus:

                                 Star Machine, Ive felt you before
                                 The other me is saying 'I want more' 
                                 Take me 'way across the sea 
                                 Do whatever you want with me
                                  
                                 Star Machine 
        
                                 Star Machine fly me high
                                 way past the circles of the deep blue sky
                                 always smiles and infinite bliss
                                 there has never been this much happiness
