[edit] Fictional character biography
Star was a private detective in the 21st Century (the year 2079 to be exact), who had a robot receptionist, Ilda. The series wasn't totally serious, being played something for laughs.
In DC Comics Presents #33 (1981), a 'Whatever happened to?....' tale, set in 2092, Star retired, as did Ilda. He married heiress Stella Sterling, while his receptionist Ilda married her robot bodyguard, Automan, himself the star of a short series in Tales of the Unexpected.
[edit] Death
At some stage in his career, Hawkins was transported back to the 20th Century. While living there he became good friends with Captain Comet, another Space-based hero. At some undetermined date he lost his Private Investigator licence and by 2006, was an elderly man living on Hardcore Station. He was murdered by an unknown telepath.
