Stanton, Gloucestershire/ Worcestershire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stanton is a small village south of Broadway, and north of Cheltenham.
It is a typical north Cotswolds village, completely constructed out of Cotswold stone, with a high street, and a pub, The Mount, at the end.
It is in a very quiet part of the Cotswolds, on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment, and benefits from wonderful views across the Vale of Evesham.
It is within just a few minutes drive from Stanway, and five or ten minutes drive from Broadway.
The Cotswold Way runs through the village. There are, however, no shops, or a post office.
One of the more notably beautiful houses is one called Cloisters, a thatched cottage up the lane in the village, the lane which the Cotswolds Way runs right by.
