Stanthorpe Shire Council is a Local Government Area in southern Queensland, Australia. The shire is situated on the Queensland - New South Wales border on the Great Dividing Range and is part of the Granite Belt.

The administrative centre is the town of Stanthorpe. Other towns in the shire include:

  • Ballandean,
  • Messines,
  • Passchendale,
  • Pozieres,
  • Wallangarra, and
  • Wyberba.

The relatively cool climate allows the production of apples and the development of a wine industry.
