Stangaland is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Avaldsnes on January 1, 1909. The new municipality had a population of 1.001.

On 1 January 1965 Stangaland was merged with Avaldsnes, Kopervik, Skudenes, Skudeneshavn, Torvastad and Åkra to form the new municipality Karmøy. Before the merger Stangaland had a population of 2.678.
