Stanford Routt (born July 23, 1983 in Austin, Texas) is an National Football League cornerback with the Oakland Raiders.
[edit] High School Career
Stanford Routt attended Connally High School in Austin, Texas, and was a two-sport standout in both football and track. In football, In track, he was a Unanimous All-District and an All-America selection, and was also a state qualifier in both the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter x 4 relay team. As a junior, he ran the ninth-fastest 200-meter dash in the nation. He ran the fastest 40 yard dash time at the Texas A&M summer football camp in 2000 by clocking a 4.23.

Stanford Routt then attended the University of Houston and excelled in indoor track and outdoor track as well as football. He finished his football career with seven interceptions, 136 tackles (3 for losses), a fumble recovery, 23 pass deflections, a blocked kick, and 3 kickoff returns for 36 yards(12 yards per kickoff ret. avg.). In indoor track, he was named Conference USA's Men's Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Year.
