Stane Dolanc

Stane Dolanc (born 16 november, 1925 in Hrastnik, Slovenia, then Yugoslavia) was a Yugoslav politician and Tito's closest man.
Stane was born to a worker family, in the Slovenian town of Hrastnik. After Nazi Germany's fall Stane joined the Yugoslav Partisans and started his military career. When he was working in Zadar, Croatia, it was the first time ever he had seen the ocean.
He became involved with politics in 1969, as a forty-three year old. Stane Dolanc died in Ljubljane on Decembaer 12, 1997 of cerebral stroke.
