Standing Alone in Mecca: An American Woman's Struggle for the Soul of Islam is a 2005 book written by American author Asra Q. Nomani.

In the book Asra Nomani provides a personal narrative of her trip to Mecca as a single Muslim mother who had her child out of wedlock and of her return to the United States. The author provides her thoughts and analysis of the current state of affairs of human rights for women in the Muslim world and argues that Muslims need to change their mind-sets on gender issues.
