Stand Up Australia

Stand Up Australia! is a TV show locally produced by The Comedy Channel since 2006. It is hosted by Cameron Knight, and features two Australian or international comedians on each half-hour show. It is produced in The Comedy Channel studios in Melbourne, previously it was at Foxtel's Sydney studios located in North Ryde.

Tapings of the shows are usually conducted each Tuesday afternoon/evening consisting of two sessions of two shows being taped each session in front of a live audience. A unique feature of each show being taped is the set and props are moved/modified between each taping to give off the feel of a different set each time.

As of November 2006, Cougar Bourbon became the major sponsor of Stand Up Australia. The Comedy Store, Sydney is also a sponsor of the show providing promotion and comedians that appear on Stand Up Australia.

For the week of the Melbourne Cup 2006 carnival, there was a number of episodes that had a "racing" theme for each show. This included the set, audience and host being dressed up in horse racing themes.

The comedy set and studio is now called "The Troubled Bison".

Some comedians who have appeared on the show include Rod Quantock, Bev Killick, Elliot Goblet, Eddie Ift, James Lieutenant, Ben Ellwood & Dave Jory.
