"Stand" was the second single pulled from the Jewel album 0304. The single was released on October 14th, 2003 in the US and later on internationally. The single failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100; some believe this is due to the fact that during the release "Intuition" was still in heavy rotation. However the single did manage to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Dance/Club Charts in the US, where it sat nicely for three weeks. This was Jewel's third number one single on the dance charts ("Serve The Ego" and "Intuition" were the first two).

The single saw no alteration from the original version. However on some promotional singles it was listed as the 'single mix'. However the 'single mix' is no different from the album version.

A music video was filmed for the single. In the video it shows Jewel and other events happening that she sings about in her song.

The single for "Stand" was released in two formats in the US. CD1 contained the single "Stand" and a bonus track titled "Leave The Lights On". However "Leave The Lights On" is technically not a bonus track since it appears on the 0304 album. CD2 contained all the club mixes of the single. International singles received the title track and some club mixes for its final release. Both singles contained two different covers.
