Stan Bingham is a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly representing the state's thirty-third Senate district, including constituents in Davidson and Guilford counties. A lumber company owner from Denton, North Carolina, Bingham is currently (2005-2006 session) serving his third term in the state Senate.

Before being elected to the North Carolina General Assembly, Bingham served as Chairman of the Davidson County Commissioners. When Sen. Bingham is not serving in his capacity as Senator and Chairman of the Senate Health Care Committee he can be seen driving in his environmentally-friendly grease car Volkswagen Bug powered by pure vegetable oil.

Bingham is married to Lora Bingham; he was first elected to the North Carolina Senate in 2000.
