Biography

Stacy Lynn Clark was born on September 21, 1980 in Buffalo, New York and has been writing poetry since age seven. At age fifteen, Stacy bought her first acoustic guitar and began teaching herself. In 1998, Stacy enrolling in the internship program at Grand Island High School. After requesting to work in the record industry, Stacy got placed at Atomic Gardens Recording Studio. It was there she learned the foundation of recording. She experimented and recorded her very first songs album there. Stacy’s first performance was at Stimulance Coffeehouse, an open mic that ran at 8 p.m. in Buffalo. After performing, Stacy went to the 10:00 pm open mic at Nietzsches. It was here she met Buffalo folk legend Michael Meldrum [(http://righteousbabe.com)]. Michael took Stacy under his wing and showed her how to book gigs.

At the same time Stacy was pursuing music, she also was attending college studying Art at the State University of New York in Plattsburgh. She participated in there National Student Exchange program and studied a semester at the University of Manoa in Hawai’i, Stacy booked her first tour around the friends she met studying. In 1999, she set out on her first national tour in hopes of building her fan base. In 2002, Stacy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Plattsburgh with a major in Art. She spend the next two years working in marketing and performing at seasonal jobs in both Killington, Vermont and New York. Clark felt compelled to move to California.

After moving to Orange County, California in 2004, Stacy started working on her development with Loren Israel and created the EP ‘Unusual’. Clark’s vocals, songwriting skills and guitar playing landed her many great reviews and new friends. Her features included: "featured artist" on MTV Hits,“Say what you want” and “Unusual” where featured on Andrew McMahon’s [1] Airport Records and Music compilation. Clark’s songs have also been featured on the Music Saves Lives 2006/2007 Vans Warped Tour Compilations and throughout Spains Renoir Cinema's. Clark's music is available on itunes.com or cdbaby.com
