[edit] Biography
Stacey David was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He earned his reputation for the hot rod club for driving a 1930 5-windowed coupe to school every day. David has had a fascination for motor vehicles for as long as he could remember.
He has built (and sometimes repaired) strikingly fast go-karts using 440 snowmobile engines. His dad’s flat fender Willys Jeep was the precursor to his current-day career in hosting a show about repairing and modding trucks.
David was one of the original hosts of Trucks! in 1999 with Mel Fair. Beginning in 2000, Fair left the show and David remained the only host until the end of the 2005 season when he chose to leave to pursue a new show elsewhere.
Beginning March 31, 2007, Stacey will be hosting “Stacey David’s GearZ™” on ESPN2.
