St Minver
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
St Minver is a small village in North Cornwall, United Kingdom.
The parish is bounded on the west by the River Camel from Trewornan Bridge to its mouth at Pentire Head; then the boundary follows the coast to the hamlet of Port Quin, from where it crosses inland, just skirting Chapel Amble, until it returns to Trewornan Bridge.
The principal villages are the Churchtown, Rock, Tredrissick, Trevanger, and Penmean. North of St Minver is the 'scattered' village of Trebetherick, from which is close to Polzeath.
Saint Minver was one of the twenty-four children of St Brychan, a Welsh saint and king, in the 4th century.
A small residential street in Bedford is named after the village.
