St Michael's On Wyre

St Michael's on Wyre is a village in Lancashire, England, close to the River Wyre. The village is centred on the church of St Michael's which was founded before the year 640.

In 1835 the parish of St Michael's contained the townships of Out Rawcliffe, Upper Rawcliffe, Elswick, Great Eccleston, Inskip-with-Sowerby, Newsham and Woodplumpton.

St Michael's is one of the most exclusive places to live in Lancashire. Some of the houses, are among the priciest in the area with some going for millions of pounds. It has its own pub, local shop, car garage and nearby Myerscough College.

St Michael's on Wyre is situated in between Lancaster, Preston and Blackpool but is nearest to Preston.
