Club for writers, diplomats and spies, and home of the Dilettanti Society. Amalgamated with Brooks's in the late 1970s. Its clubhouse on Picadilly, next to the Japanese Embassy, is now a language school.

There is a new establishement with premises based in Park Place, which also bears the name "St James's Club", but its concept is more aimed towards a business/conference centre.
