St George's Church, Leeds

St George's is a Church of England parish based in the city centre of Leeds, UK. The church building is near to Leeds General Infirmary. Although based in the city centre, the congregation is drawn from all parts of the city.

The current staff team includes Rector Revd. Jonathan Clark, Team Vicar Revd. James Barnett and curate Revd. Joanna Pearson. Their profiles can be found on the church's website alongside profiles or other members of church staff (see external links below).

Sermons can now be downloaded through the St George's podcast (link below); an increasingly popular service, with an average of just over 100 downloads per week.

Regular services at St George's occur at 10.30am and 6.30pm on Sundays, with other activities throughout the week.

The 10:30am service is a large family congregation, with good provision for children's work. The 6:30pm service is a rapidly growing student congregation, with a focus on biblical teaching, and high-quality musical worship.

There is also an additional congregation, St George's Community Church, which also has services at 10.30am on Sunday mornings at Parkdale Hall for those resident in the parish.

St George's Church is well known for the work of St George's Crypt, which works with the homeless and Asylum seekers. The Crypt provides overnight accommodation, and runs two hostels.
